I have a comment and a question. My comment is that these are excellent, especially for the way this particular humor serves to police the borders of our profession. (Not funny = not one of us.) My question is, What would a line of tees for ASA look like?
“Queering the Chicana since 1990”
You would think they would be done by now. God bless Roy!
For SMH, I thinking the tee would be: “Token Woman.”
“Koshering patriarchy”
Does this count as scholarship?
Lol rosie

Love the last one!
“I’m Too Sexy for the Way in Which I Wear My Shirt”
I especially enjoy “You are caricaturing my argument.” May I also suggest “Historians Do It Thoroughly”?
In Gothic Blackletter: “Gloss My Text”
I still think the best one, that I still have, was the Radical History Review’s. It has Marx with the logo: Earn Big Money Become an Historian. Mine is red of course.
For those of us old enough to remember matchbooks, it was also on a matchbook to mimic the ads for becoming a trucker.
“I Don’t Wear a Name Tag because You Should Know Who I Am.”
I have that MARHO t-shirt. I have kept it, although, sadly, it no longer fits.
How about Got MLK?
“Thank you very much for the excellent paper. Now, in my own work…”
